RFID system is referred as Radio Frequency Identification. It is a wireless communication system used to read tags containing model data for different machine functions. Pallet present on assembly line containing RFID tag is read by RFID reader. Read data is sent to PLC through controller for specific machine processes read on tag. Several communication types are available to connect with PLC like Serial RS232/RS485 , Modbus TCP, Ethernet TCP etc. They are different tag memory sizes are available based on the application data size. Data can be stored and retrieved at high speed rate in ms.
